We laughed together at the jokes he told,
He held me tight when I was cold,
We took long walks and with depth he told,
His deepest secrets and the things he sold,
In my moments of sadness he wiped my tears and took me in his arms,
His presence made me feel protected and so calm,
We shared thoughts that were so intimate,
And yet he said we were just classmates,
Our friendship was based on the terms he laid,
And I never denied anything that he said,
One fine day he held my hand,
And told me to forget everything he had previously said,
My eyes were wet when he said goodbye,
Life seemed worthless and I wanted to die,
Things had changed yet life remained the same,
He had played with my life as if it was a game.
