A silver lining

When there is no one in a crowded room to speak with,

When your heart is hurting and full of pain,

When you have so much to talk about yet no one notices your existence,

When the people you love the most leave your side,

When you feel miserable and angry inside,

When insecurities and fear blind your sight,

That’s when you feel so lonely and upset,

That’s when you lose hope in your life,

When such days come in your life it may seem like a black hole in the sky,

You may want to put an end to the suffering and you may want to die,

But remember the words that your mother said to you when you were young,

The black hole is temporary and will disappear one day,

When the night is over and the day begins, you will see the sun shine in the blue sky,

Don’t give up so soon, don’t get dismayed,

The worries you feel today will be soon erased,

On days when you can’t find hope in life,

Remember to be brave and give a big smile,

One day you will look back at such times and realize,

God only helps those who attempt to try.
